The inspiration of this painting was a Wiccan friend who was describing a summer solstice festival, and my own personal views of what Mother Earth would look like.

There is actually two very similar versions of this painting. There is this one, which is a digital painting, and there is an acrylic on canvas version. Originally the digital painting was going to be completed first and I was going to use this to make the acrylic from. However after starting the digital version I decided to give the acrylic one to my Wiccan friend as a present and so dropped the digital for the acrylic. Only recently did I come back and finish this version.
