This was one of the "goths on the net" series. A girl sent me a pretty evocative photo of her with these lovely black wings which I just had to make into this painting. I also wanted to try my hand at Gouache paint. While I enjoyed Gouache, this so far is my one and only painting in this medium as I prefer watercolors or acrylics.

When I was painting her the story going through my mind was that you are looking at a Dark Angel of the night who is taking one final look at the graveyard she inhabits before returning to her daytime abyss.
